Omkring.nu is designed to provide local answers while collecting as little personal data as possible.
Postcodes and location
Your selected place is used to retrieve local content. The choice can be stored in your browser so the service remembers it. Omkring.nu does not sell your location choice.
Local settings
Time intervals and personal thresholds can be saved on your device. You can remove them by deleting the site’s browser data.
Advertising and cookies
Google AdSense uses Google’s certified CMP through Privacy & messaging. The CMP manages the consent signal for the EEA, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Google Analytics is used for visitor statistics. Analytics storage is disabled until the consent signal permits it and can be changed through the privacy settings.
First-party analytics collect page views, categories, and approximate device and referral information where analytics are permitted. When you consent in Google’s CMP to Omkring.nu’s own purposes for device storage (purpose 1) and content measurement (purpose 8), we also store full IP addresses, original User-Agent strings, visited URLs and referrer URLs. No such tracking occurs without consent. This is separate from advertising consent. Sensitive URL parameters are redacted. Detailed records are deleted within 14 days or upon withdrawal of consent. Random visitor IDs are stored locally for up to 30 days and sessions expire after 30 minutes of inactivity. Other analytics are deleted after 90 days.

External information systems
The service uses public and commercial information systems for local data. When you open an external link, that service’s privacy policy applies.
