Bidding zones SE1 and SE2 cover northern Sweden, SE3 covers much of central Sweden and SE4 is in the far south. Grid bottlenecks mean that prices can differ between zones.

Distinguishing small and large loads
A washing machine or dishwasher uses considerably less energy than a full EV charge. Laundry and dishwashing are therefore shown separately from charging in the service's activity assessment.
The spot price shown on Omkring.nu includes VAT, but it is only part of your total electricity cost. Grid fees, energy tax, your electricity retailer's markup and other contract costs are not included. Check the terms of your electricity contract before calculating an exact saving.

Look for a cheap period – not only the cheapest point
Some tasks need electricity for longer than one price interval. EV charging, laundry and other flexible activities can therefore be easier to plan by looking for a continuous period of relatively low prices.
The absolute lowest price does not have to be the most practical. If several adjacent intervals are at about the same lower level, it can be easier to choose a period that fits everyday life.
Therefore, focus on clear price differences. If the difference between two times is very small, there is often less reason to move an activity solely because of the spot price.
You don't have to plan your whole life around electricity prices
The electricity-price tool is most useful for consumption that can be shifted without difficulty. Fridges, freezers, lighting and everyday cooking need to work when they are needed.
It is therefore more reasonable to start with larger or flexible loads than to try to optimize each small appliance.
Use the price chart as a basis for decisions, not as a requirement that all electricity must be used at the absolute cheapest time of the day.
