If you are going to a hospital, event, workplace or a certain neighborhood, accommodation near that point is often more relevant than hotels near the city's geographical centre.

Different types of accommodation
Mapped accommodation information may include hotels, hostels, guest houses, motels and other registered accommodations.
Use the filters when you are only interested in a particular type.
A listing's category describes the type of accommodation, but says nothing by itself about price, quality or room availability.
Nearest First
For a local search service, it is natural that the closest relevant accommodations are shown first.
If a hotel is located a few hundred metres from the search point, it should normally appear before a hotel located several kilometres away.
This makes the result easier to understand and reduces the risk of a general city list being confused with a real search for proximity.
Distance is not the same as travel time
The geographical distance is useful for sorting but does not tell the whole story.
Water, rail, road network, entrances and other barriers can make the actual route longer.
Therefore, use the directions for an accommodation you are considering.
Price and room availability require up-to-date booking information
Map information can show that accommodation exists and where it is located.
